Woodsboro is generally a beautiful and tranquil place but we have our occasional problems. This site or "blog" has been established to promote communications about those problems and in doing so, help unite our people, our elected officials and law enforcement agencies in maintaining the Woodsboro we love.
This site is intended as an electronic "neighborhood watch". Anyone can post information or comment on postings. It can be done anonymously or "in the open". Anyone can read this, anyone. The site will be edited in an attempt to keep it at a PG or better rating.
Please note that posting information about a problem or crime does not constitute notifying law enforcement. You must, and are strongly encouraged to, do that directly yourself. The benefit of posting here is to share the information with other folks and to provide data regarding possible repeat offenses or other patterns of trouble. Welcome!

The flower shop on second street is a very hot spot for juveniles. There is a lot of activity there with cars coming and going, juveniles getting into the cars for a period of time. I have overheard the comment I do not have the money now, those that do have the money now usually gets inside the car.
The flower shop scene was mentioned during the January town meeting. It may warrant it's own posting. There was some discussion at the meeting about the town acquiring a code enforcer. I don't remember the term they used. Basically a non-Woodsboro resident who would enforce town code which could possibly include things like: underage smoking, loitering, curfew violation, etc.
They do more that just sit around smoking and loitering there have been times when they were inside the shop. The police were notified responded but never got out of the police car to check inside the shop. These kids are brought to this area by their parents and dropped off. Sometimes the parents comeback and sometime the kids have to walk.
This is the kind of discussion this site was created for. No quick fixes promised but talking about it is a start. Thanks for participating!
The kids were at the flower shop until 2:00 a.m. Monday morning February 18. There was a lite object being passed around from kid to kid being smoked. They broke a window out of the flower shop. The police were not notified.
